There is currently no vaccine to prevent COVID-19 infection. The best way to prevent infection is to avoid being exposed to this virus. The World Health Organization (WHO) provides recommendations to reduce exposure to and transmission of a range of illnesses.聽

Don鈥檛 forget to protect yourself from another common virus, the flu (influenza).聽Everyone 6 months of age and older should get a flu vaccine every season with rare exceptions. Vaccination is particularly important for people who are at high risk of serious聽. See聽聽for a full list of age and health factors that confer increased risk. To be clear, the influenza virus is a different virus from COVID-19, and getting your flu shot will not protect you from COVID-19. But both viruses are spread in the same fashion and we do have a vaccine to help prevent the spread of the flu. At this time in the United States, your risk of getting the flu is much greater than your risk of contracting COVID-19.

You can access 24/7, on-demand聽Medical听辞谤听TalkNow聽(talk to a mental health provider about anything, at any time) and聽Scheduled Counseling聽(for up to 12 visits each year), where you can set up single or recurring appointments with a provider you choose. You will also find information on the site about our site-based campus counselors who are available for appointments during the Fall and Spring semesters.

Caldwell House offers career and life counseling as well as testing accommodations for students who have IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) or who struggle due to a learning barrier. The Caldwell House also offers testing services for students who want to engage actively in discovering how to best study and improve their learning skills.

If you feel sick with fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, you should seek medical care right away from a healthcare provider. Call ahead to let the healthcare provider know your symptoms and recent travel history. Please avoid contact with other until you have been evaluated by a healthcare provider.

Support services such as Counseling, Academic Tutoring, Success and Retention Services, Disability Resources, and more are available through both in person and phone/video conferencing meetings. Students may contact the relevant departments to schedule appointments in advance.

Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 is asked to report this to WPU鈥檚 COVID Response Team. They will be asked when they were last on campus and additional questions in order to facilitate contact tracing.

To assist with contact tracing and reduce the spread of COVID-19, only residents of a residence hall are allowed in the building. External visitors are not allowed in campus housing. Apartment residents may invite another student into their unit with the permission of their suitemate if they have one. Residence hall residents may have one resident from their floor or wing in their room at a time.聽 WPU is creating outdoor spaces where residents may meet other students if desired.

We have moved to an online vehicle registration/parking pass order form for the Fall semester.聽 Students will pick up their parking pass at the Student Life Center when they arrive on campus.

Generally, funds are scheduled to disburse to the school on the third week of the first class in a semester in the Professional and Graduate Studies program. Funds are disbursed to the school on the first day of the semester in the Traditional undergraduate program. Prior to disbursement, attendance must be confirmed. If you have more than enough funding for the tuition and book costs in a given semester, the school has up to 14 days from the date of disbursement to process any refund to you. For Fall Admission: April 15 and for Spring Admission: October 15

The dining hall is open daily. On weekdays the dining hall opens between 7:30 a.m. 鈥� 9:00 am for breakfast; from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. for lunch; and 5:00 p.m. 鈥� 7:30 p.m. for dinner. On the weekends or days when the campus is closed (such as President鈥檚 Day Holiday, etc.), the dining hall is open for brunch from 12:00 p.m. 鈥� 1:00 p.m., and for dinner from 5:00 p.m. 鈥� 6:00 p.m.

During the school year, the Library is open Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 a.m. 鈥� 10:00 p.m., but closed during chapel hours on Tuesday and Thursday (from 10:00 a.m. 鈥� 11-00 a.m.). On Friday, the Library closes at 6:00 pm. The Library is also closed during the weekend, except during finals week

There is a lounge located in Warman Hall with a TV, a mini kitchen, and other activities. There are two lounges located in Smith Hall; one contains a TV while the other is typically used for studying. The lounges are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Students can spend time in there as long as they are not sleeping. Men and women can both be in any of these lounges during any hours when the lounge is open.
